Foreign Minister – PM’s initiative was timely to suggest Tbilisi to our neighbors as platform of dialog

The initiative of Prime Minister to suggest Tbilisi to our neighbors as a platform of the dialog was timely and we have full support of European partners in this process – Davit Zalkaliani, Foreign Minister said when commenting about the escalation of conflict over Nagorny Karabakh region.

According to Zalkaliani, European partners expressed concern about the situation in Georgia’s neighborhood during the meetings in Brussels.

Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, being on an official visit in Brussels, made a statement about the armed confrontation between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

PM said that Georgia was ready to host representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Tbilisi for de-escalation of the conflict.
