Foreign Minister meets OSCE Chairperson-in-Office

Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani met the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde, at the State Ceremonies Palace.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the sides accentuated the importance of international cooperation in acute issues, OSCE’s involvement in the Russia-Georgia conflict resolution, and Russian aggression-related threats.

David Zalkaliani provided the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office with the information about Russia’s destructive and provocative moves, borderization process, humanitarian crisis across the occupation line, and illegal detention and abduction of Georgian citizens.

Georgian Foreign Minister focused on hybrid war, cyber-attacks, and misinformation campaign against Georgia amid the Covid-19 pandemic and praised Sweden for support.

During the visit, Linde will meet with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Tea Akhvlediani, Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze, members of the Parliament and civil society. She will also visit Khurvaleti village located near the occupation line.
