Officers of Old Tbilisi Police Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained a citizen of Iran born in 1996 on fact of burglary.

An investigation determined that the Iranian citizen together with his accomplice physically assaulted an employee of a currency exchange booth located at Akhvlediani Street with the purpose of burglary on January 15, seized the person’s handbag and escaped.

The burglar, whose identity is determined, was detained in several minutes after committing the crime. The charge envisages punishment from 6 to 9 years in prison.
