FM: EUMM to be one of the main international missions in Georgia

The European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia is one of the main international missions to benefit Georgia, said David Zalkaliani, Georgian Foreign Minister.

FM echoed the statement of Josep Borell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.

According to Zalkaliani, the Georgian government works actively with European partners to keep security and occupation issues on high international political agenda.

“More attention and more engagement regarding the situation across Georgia’s occupied territories in all international formats, including the European Union, will benefit Georgia,” Zalkaliani stated.

Josep Borell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, said on May 27 that the EU foreign ministers would arrive in 3 countries of the Caucasus with the focus of unresolved conflicts in the Eastern Neighbourhood.
