Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani congratulated diplomats on the professional holiday.

In the congratulation letter, FM Zalkaliani speaks about achievements and challenges of the Georgian diplomacy. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Georgian diplomacy have always been in the vanguard of freedom and development of our country!

I remember the first generation of Georgian diplomats. People and professionals whose activities and attitudes were filled with astonishing heroic charge. This generation has recorded a lot of renowned papers in the history of Georgia – to strengthen the independence of Georgia, to restore Georgia’s territorial integrity, to gain a decent place for our country on the international arena,” reads the FM’s letter of congratulations.

According to FM Zalkaliani, today, Georgian diplomacy has a great new generation, “today they represent a country that is one of the prominent members of the modern democratic European world with its state development and achieved progress. The international community is well aware of the noble aims of the Georgian state that we are just looking for friends, that any challenge in the modern world is our challenge, too, that we are ready to contribute to the global security and the peaceful future of the world.

Our goal is very clear – full integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures. The main challenge of Georgian diplomacy unification our country, but I believe Georgia will be able to restore the territorial integrity with new opportunities, peace, development and irreversible course of rebuilding,” the Foreign Minister letter reads.

Davit Zalkaliani expresses gratitude to the diplomats for their “amazing commitment, exemplary patriotism, heroic devotion. I want you to wish victories and successes for Georgia’s wellbeing and to assure you that your homeland properly praises your commitment and endeavor, “reads the letter of congratulation.
