First Sitting into Archil Tatunashvili’s case to be held at Mtskheta Court

The first sitting into case of Archil Tatunashvili, Georgian soldier killed in occupied Tskhinvali region, will be held at Mtskheta Court today. The judge will discuss imposition of charges to Davit Gurtsiev and Alek Taboev.

Archil Tatunashvili’s father and the family lawyer Tamar Avaliani will attend the court trial. Chief Prosecutor’s Office presented charges to Gurtsiev and Taboev on June 14.

Based on the investigation, the two persons tortured Tatunashvili for participation in August 2008 Georgia-Russia war and inflicted him about 100 body injuries. Tatunashvili died.

The charge presented to Davit Gurtsiev and Alek Taboev envisages from 9 t0 15 years in prison.
