First Secretary of Ukrainian Embassy:  Russian aggressive forces continue to occupy the territory of Georgia

The 11th anniversary of Russia’s aggression against Georgia has just been marked, and today we are standing at the occupation line, – First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine, Petro Bogdan, told reporters in Gugutiantkari.

As Petro Bogdan noted, Russian aggressive forces continue to occupy the territory of Georgia.

“Ukrainian people stand beside with Georgia. Ukraine reiterates support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and demands the Russian federation to withdraw occupation troops from Georgia and Ukraine and to fully fulfill its obligations under the 2008 ceasefire agreement”, – Petro Bogdan said.

The representatives of the diplomatic corps have arrived in the village of Gugutiantkari, Gori Municipality today.

Occupation forces resumed installation of barbed wire fences in the village of Gugutiantkari yesterday since morning. The fence has been already fixed on the iron pillars. As a result, two residential houses were left beyond the fence.

Representatives of the occupation forces began the installation of artificial barriers in Gugutiantkari village on August 7.
