Father George Mamaladze`s attorneys, convicted in the so-called cyanide case, addressed the President of Georgia with a request to pardon the archbishop.
According to lawyer Giorgi Pantsulaia, they requested President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili to pardon the clergy as the whole society saw what kind of legal irregularities exist in the case.
Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze was detained on February 10, 2017.
The so-called Cyanide Case represents one of the high-profile and closed cases in Georgian judiciary.
Many questions remain unanswered in the public.
