Exports from Georgia to CIS countries increased by 24% and to EU by 25% 

According to Geostat, In January-August 2019 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 8 126.1 million, 0.01 percent higher year-on-year. The exports equaled USD 2 411.6 million (12.4 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 5 714.5 million (4.4 percent lower).

In January-August 2019 the exports to the CIS countries stood at USD 1 274.0 million (24.2 percent higher compared to January-August 2018) and reached 52.8 percent of total exports.

In January-August 2019 the exports from Georgia to the EU countries amounted to USD 571.1 million (25.3 percent higher compared to January-August 2018) and constituted 23.7 percent of total exports.

The top training partners by exports include Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, China, the US and Uzbekistan.
