"European Georgia" members protested the presence of Sergey Gavrilov in the Parliament of Georgia [Photo/Video]

The members of the “European Georgia” party have entered the session hall of the Parliament of Georgia with posters and shouts, where 26th General Session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodox Church is underway.

They are protesting the participation of Russian Duma deputies, including President of the Assembly Sergey Gavrilov in the forum and heading the session from the Parliament Speaker’s rostrum.

European Georgia MPs say that they will not allow Russian deputy Sergey Gavrilov to get back to the hall after the break.

The 26th General Session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodox Church is underway in Tbilisi. The session has continued in the plenary sessions of the Georgian Parliament today.  President of the Assembly, Russian Duma deputy, member of the Communist Party, Sergey Gavrilov, who headed the session, addressed the delegates from the Speaker’s rostrum.
