European Georgia calls on gov't to ensure smooth entry of international observers for parliamentary elections

Opposition political party European Georgia calls on the government to ensure the smooth entry of international observers into the country for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

“The Georgian government should abolish the quarantine obligation for international observers and should cover health insurance costs,” said the member of the party, Sergi Kapanadze.

“We have information that the government wants a small number of international observers for the elections. I urge the government to do the following steps: to ensure the smooth entry of international observers into the country, to remove the quarantine requirement as well as to provide health insurance to them,” said Kapanadze.
