EU to spend 13 billion Euro in Eastern Partnership member countries including in Georgia

The European Union will spend 13 billion Euro in Eastern Partnership member countries including in Georgia for infrastructure projects. The money will be spent on arrangement of roads and rail lines, ports, airports, logistic centers and border checkpoints.

Some projects are planned to be completed in 2020, some – in 2030. The endeavor will be jointly implemented by the European Commission and the World Bank following the decision made at the 2017 Eastern Partnership Summit. The project aims at eradication of transport system faults at EU borders.
