Electric buses to run in Batumi from tomorrow

Batumi is the first city in Georgia where municipal electric buses will run. During this week, eight electric buses will start operation in Batumi.

The new electric buses are adapted for people with disabilities,  equipped with a modern standard, built-in heating, air conditioning, sound system and video cameras.

With a length of 9.5 meters and 24 seats, each bus is designed for up to 70 passengers.

The purchase of electric buses was carried out through an international tender within the framework of the preferential loan of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Public transport has resumed operation in Batumi today.
