Tikaradze says currently 10 patients stay in the infectious diseases hospital.

“Last night, those 13 patients, who were not infected,  were transferred from the infectious diseases hospital to the quarantine zone. By this time, 10 patients stay in the hospital, five of whom are from Italy, one is an Italian citizen and four Georgians, five are from Iran, one is Georgian and the rest are citizens of Azerbaijan. We continue our coordinated work, and at this time we have enough places to quarantine citizens who are in close contact with infected people and come from high-risk areas.  These are located in different places in Georgia. We make sure that they have the appropriate conditions. We have mobilized hospitals located in Batumi, as well as in Kutaisi, there are several hospitals in Tbilisi, ” – said Ekaterina Tikaradze.

The first case of novel Chinese coronavirus was confirmed in Georgia. A 50-year-old Georgian man, who arrived on February 25 from Iran to Georgia through Azerbaijan, tested positive on coronavirus.
