Education Ministry – Georgian Scientists leading in post-Soviet space with Citation Index

Georgian scientists are leading in the post-Soviet space with Citation Index based on the data of Web of Science (Web of Knowledge) according to the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science.

“There are 6112 publications from Georgia in the base, and the Citation Index is 20.69 for the first time ever that confirms the productivity and quality of Georgian scientists,” the Ministry says.

Web of Science provides access to the Science Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Book Citation Index, and Conference Proceedings Citation Index. Citation indexes are unique in that they identify articles, books, or conference proceedings that have cited a particular author or publication.
