Dr Tsertsvadze deems teachers, parents vaccination crucial

The Head of Infectious Diseases and AIDS Centre, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, believes parents, the staff of schools and institutes must get vaccinated.

“I do not understand the teachers who refuse vaccination and thus endanger children,” said Tsertsvadze after a majority of the teachers ‘protested’ the idea of mandatory immunization, something that many countries introduced. “It is unacceptable, an unhealthy approach,” Dr Tsertsvadze added.

As of October 11, sixty-eight kindergartens in Tbilisi and a hundred classes across Georgia have shut down due to Covid-19 cases.
