Domestic exports up 26.6 % in January-May 2021

The exports of Georgia (excluding non-declared exports) in January-May 2021 equalled USD 1 538.2 million, 24.4 % higher year-on-year, Georgia’s National Statistics Office (GeoStat) reported on Monday.

The domestic exports share in total export totalled 73.1 % and amounted to USD 1 123.7 million, 26.6 % higher than the same period of 2020, the agency noted.

China (USD 250.0 million), Russia (USD 185.8 million) and Turkey (USD 125.9 million) were among the top partners. As for the export items, copper ores and concentrates (USD 327.2 million), ferroalloys (USD 144.3 million) and wine of fresh grapes (USD 85.0 million) hold leading positions.
