Dodo Gugeshashvili operated on, investigation activities continue

The health condition of Dodo Gugeshashvili, Veteran of Abkhazian War and Colonel of the Georgian Armed Forces, remains grave. The patient was operated on at Ghudushauri Clinic and is now placed at Intensive Therapy Unit. Doctors said that the patient had been shot in the chest area.

The person who shot Dodo Gugeshashvili and her son presumably was a friend of the family – Mamuka Chelidze, Head of Organized Crime Department of Central Criminal Police of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) stated.

Dodo Gugeshashvili, Veteran of Abkhazian War and Colonel of the Georgian Armed Forces, and her son were shot from the gun in Dighomi district of Tbilisi. Gugeshashvili’s son Grigol Gugeshashvili, born in 1985, died at site, while Colonel was transferred to hospital being in critical health condition. The fire was opened to the mother and son near the house.

Active investigation activities continue at the crime scene. The shooting team of “Moambe” News Program visited the site. Dodo Gugeshashvili mentioned the name of the attacker in hospital.
