Dmitry Medvedev: US labs' work should not cause any suspicion

An article under the title – “Security Cooperation During the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic” – published by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation published in Russia in Global Affairs.

Speaking of research on COVID-19 vaccine in worldwide labs, Dmitry Medvedev mentioned the United States’s labs saying “their activities should not cause any suspicion, otherwise, with a new outbreak of any infectious disease (no one doubts that more such outbreaks are coming) there will be endless mutual complaints, conspiracy theories and cross-sanctions which will pave the way to a direct conflict.”

Dmitry Medvedev pointed out that “everyone will then suspect each other of everything, and each new virus will be presented as a biological weapon. These risks will entail unheard-of international tensions, which can easily escalate into a full-fledged hot conflict, rather than the so-called “hybrid” war.”
