Different events to be held in commemoration of King David the Builder in Kutaisi

Different events will be held in Kutaisi city of Imereti region today dedicated to the 930th anniversary of the enthronement of King David the Builder.

A solemn church service has been ongoing since morning at Gelati Virgin Mary Church. Guests will lay a wreath at the grave of King David the Building later this afternoon. A photo exhibition will take place at Gelati Monastery Complex.

Public lectures will be held at Akaki Tsereteli State University about the epoch of King David the Builder and a special activity will take place at Ilia Chavchavade Scientific Library.

Shavlego Tabatadze, Imereti Regional Governor and Giorgi Chighvaria, Kutaisi Mayor will attend the activities.
