Deputy Foreign Minister meets EEAS officials in Brussels

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia met Pedro Serrano, Deputy Secretary-General for Common Security and Defence Policy and Crisis Response at the European External Action Service (EEAS) and EEAS Deputy Secretary-General Enrique Mora within the framework of his visit to Brussels on September 14-15.

EU’s involvement in the Georgian territories de-occupation process and peaceful resolution of the Georgia-Russia conflict were the main focus.

Georgian Deputy Minister spoke about Russia’s aggressive policy and provocative moves against Georgia, security, humanitarian situation, and gross violation of human rights across the occupied regions.

Lasha Darsalia informed the EU representatives about the governmental strategy for reconciliation and the dynamics of the internationally-mediated Geneva discussions. He thanked the EU for unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
