Deputy FM to hold negotiations on Covid-19 vaccine delivery

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvtisiashvili will hold talks to get AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine produced in India. He has left for India on a working visit under the instructions of the Foreign Minister

. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgia is holding negotiations simultaneously with the Covax platform to import additional doses of Covid-19 vaccines in Georgia.

“Foreign Ministry is actively working with the partner countries and directly with manufacturers and suppliers. Among them is a pharmaceutical company operating in India. The company produces the AstraZeneca vaccine. Deputy Minister departed for India to complete this process successfully,” the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
