Defence Minister meets Lithuanian Ambassador in Georgia

The Minister of Defence of Georgia Juansher Burchuladze continues meetings with the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia. He held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania, Andrius Kalindra, on Monday.

According to the Defence Ministry, the minister thanked Lithuania for its strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and accession to Euro-Atlantic structures. The meeting highlighted the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in defence and Lithuania’s role in the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) successful implementation.

The sides discussed issues of bilateral military cooperation between Georgia and Lithuania. The focus was on military education, strategic communications and cybersecurity. Juansher Burchuladze expressed hope for further strengthening of close partnership with Lithuania in defence.
