Georgia will be the main stronghold of our strategic partner, the US, in the region and beyond – Davit Zalkaliani, Georgian Foreign Minister said being on an official visit in the US.

Zalkaliani claimed that the Georgian side received firm support and messages in the US. He underlined that the statement of the US President’s National Security Advisor John Bolton was very important where he openly declared that Georgia was a leader in the region with the reforms ongoing in the country.

According to Zalkaliani, trade relations and development of free trade will be the main issues of discussions within the framework of his US visit.

On September 20, Georgian Foreign Minister will meet with Michael Pompeo, US Secretary of State. He will also attend the opening of the 73rd session of UN General Assembly.
