According to Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani, German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit 10 years later once again confirms how important Georgia is on the German political agenda.

10 years later her visit is the confirmation of the role Georgia has on the German political agenda.

Our relationships were very intense in recent years, which is confirmed by bilateral visits.

Recently, I have visited Germany where the active dynamics of relations between Georgia and Germany confirmed.

According to Davit Zalkaliani, Germany is an active supporter of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic and European processes including at the NATO summit, when Germany supported the important provisions in the declaration.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will presumably visit Georgia on August 23-24. According to Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the final date will be finalized by the German Embassy.
