Davit Chichinadze: Public Broadcaster`s rate is not even a percent today

MP Davit Chichinadze says that more than 200 million GEL wasted for Public Broadcaster, but its rate is not even a percent today.

Davit Chichinadze spoke about Public Broadcaster at today’s plenary session where Broadcasting Legislation Amendment is being discussed at the Parliament of Georgia by the second hearing.

We could not agree on a very important issues including commercial advertisements and startups. The principle of funding for public broadcaster is attached to the country`s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which says that the television has a source of independent financing not to be ruled by the Government or Parliament, but contrary, commercial advertisements funding is ahead, Recently more than 200 million GEL wasted, but its rate is not even a percent today,- said Chichinadze.
