Czech Republic listed Georgia as safe country

The Czech Republic has put Georgia on the list of safe countries. The Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs made the regarding decision.

The Czech Republic is the 12th country in the EU / Schengen Area (Bulgaria, France, Liechtenstein, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Iceland, Luxembourg, Ireland, Estonia, Denmark), which made a relevant decision referring to Georgia.

Due to being put on the list of safe countries, the Czech side will consider the asylum applications of Georgian citizens in the short timeframe.

The decision has already entered into force.
