Georgian First Channel to provide a general signal to other TV stations from gov't administration on COVID-19 briefings

The administration of Georgian government kicks off different mode of broadcasting press briefings regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, Irakli Chikovani, PM’s spokesperson announced.

Georgian First Channel will provide the general signal to other television stations.

“In order to ensure the protection of journalists amid COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Georgia starts different mode of broadcasting briefings. I would like to thank Georgian First Channel for giving us the opportunity to receive the signal and transmit it to other television stations,” Irakli Chikovani said.

Journalists will also be able to submit questions to the government’s press service in advance.
