Committee on Procedural Issues supported termination of MP mandate to Nika Melia

Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues has supported termination of MP mandate to Nika Melia today. The issue will be discussed at the plenary session today later.

According to the regulations, the termination of the MP’s mandate will require the support of at least 76 lawmakers.

The Tbilisi City Court made a guilty verdict against Zurab Adeishvili, former Justice Minister and Nika Melia, MP of National Movement into case of artificial bankruptcy of Kartu Bank.

Melia was imposed to pay the fine in the amount of 25 000 GEL and was deprived the right to serve as a public official with the term of 2 years and 3 months.
