Clive Johnstone: We consider Georgia as being an important partner

“The North-Atlantic Treaty Alliance began studying the Black Sea region in the nearest past. Georgia is an important partner for the alliance in the region,” Clive Johnstone, Commander of NATO’s Allied Maritime Command made this statement in Atlantic Council in Washington.

Voice of America reports that importance of maritime forces and their role was discussed in the council. Johnstone underlined that Georgia does not have enough maritime security resources, and Georgia began working in that direction after it received several ships from the US as present.

Commander of NATO’s Allied Maritime Command said that Georgia’s skills in obtaining and procession of information surprisingly astonished American team of instructors.
