Citizens say journey to parliament to be difficult

“The path to the parliament was not easy. We entered because four political prisoners have been released,” Aleko Elisashvili, representative of the parliamentary opposition and leader of the Citizens party, told journalists in the parliament.

According to Elisashvili, the two Citizens MPs intend to turn the memorandum signed with the Georgian Dream into a law. Elisashvili called on the opposition to engage in the discussion and adoption of the proportional electoral system since changing the legislation would require a constitutional majority vote or 113 votes out of 150.
