I say from my 45-year experience that those people, who think that the visit of Secretary of State of the outgoing U.S. Administration means nothing, are Russian influential agents – Grigol Vashadze, Chairman of National Movement Party said.

According to Vashadze, the fact that Philip T. Reeker, Acting Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, stayed in Georgia and did not leave the country together with U.S. Secretary of State to Israel, indicated that Georgia’s strategic partners realized how deep the political crisis was in Georgia and how Georgia needed support of its international partners in finding the way out.

Vashadze said that Philip T. Reeker was introduced with the information about falsification of elections and forging of election protocols.

“We shared with our viewpoints about possible way out of the current crisis and that under the economic conditions and the situation in the region and taking into consideration that the whole world was frozen in struggling with coronavirus, finding the compromise was essential. Many Georgian citizens stand behind us and they demand restoration of justice,” Vashadze said.
