The European Union supports Georgia’s territorial integrity by 100% and objects to the erection of a division line – Carl Hartzell, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia said in Atotsi village of Kareli Municipality where Russian soldiers resumed border demarcation works.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia condemned the illegal borderization process resumed by the installation of artificial barriers at Atotsi village, Kareli Municipality of Shida Kartli region, and called on Russia for stopping illegal moves targeted against Georgia’s territorial integrity and state sovereignty.

Illegal borderization process is ongoing near Atotsi village, Kareli Municipality of Shida Kartli region – State Security Service reported on November 6. The European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia is notified about the illegal activities.
