Businessman Levan Vasadze determines to enter politics

Businessman Levan Vasadze announced he decided to enter politics. Vasadze assured journalists it was a challenging decision for him.

Businessman Levan Vasadze’s public movement is called Unity, Identity, Hope, which will transform into a political party in the future. According to the businessman, he and his associates are firmly determined to have a peaceful, civilized and legitimate action plan. Vasadze announced holding a rally in Tbilisi on May 16.

“I made a very personally challenging decision to say goodbye to a status of a private citizen and step towards the public and political life of Georgia. Permanent political, economic, cultural, social and ideological crisis in the country prompted my decision,” Vasadze stated.

The businessman told journalists he would share his view on what is needed to get Georgia out of this crisis state.

“I am far from the arrogance and audacity that one person, including myself, can eliminate all the problems. We should get out of this state together. Let me share what should be done to end this chaos, the atmosphere of hatred, hopelessness, injustice, lawlessness, fear of each other and drive the country towards the development it deserves,” said Levan Vasadze.

Levan Vasadze is a businessman, who studied in Georgia, Russia and the US. Vasadze is a graduate of the Tbilisi State University, the US Emory University Roberto Goizueta Business School, and Moscow Orthodox-Humanitarian University.

He ran the wine company Bagrationi 1882 and Samoseli Pirveli, a clothes brand of traditional clothing in Georgia. He is a founder and board member of a private secondary school in Georgia.
