Buba Khotivari becomes President of Georgian Cinema Academy

Buba Khotivari, an actor and director, known for Birthday (1994), Lodgers (1989) and Dariali Sketches (1971) has become President of the Georgian Cinema Academy.

Khotivari received 106 votes of members of the Academy in the elections, while his rival Soso Jachvliani – 63 votes. He has been elected on the post with a 4-year term.

The post of President of Georgian Cinema Academy became vacant after former elected president Zaza Urushadze quit the position two weeks ago.
