“The idea of creating the Georgian Dream party was and is that Georgia should be a European country, where people and their dignity are protected, everyone can provide for their family, where peace, stability and development are guaranteed,” said the chairman of the Georgian Dream party Bidzina Ivanishvili at today’s presentation of the party list.
In his welcoming speech, Ivanishvili thanked the public for its trust and support and pointed out that the party will continue to work restlessly to make tomorrow better.
“I promise you, our party will work steadily to maintain the achievements and look out for the progress, that tomorrow will be better, Georgia will be a safer country, closer to the integration, closer to Europe and NATO,” said Ivanishvili.
The chairman of the Georgian Dream stressed that the party will do its best to ensure higher standards for democracy, better protection of human rights, economic progress.
“We can do it as the team of motivated professionals that is presented here today gives me confidence. Each of them is ready to serve the people, to serve the country,” stated Ivanishvili.
Georgian Dream has presented its top twenty candidates in its party list who will run in the October parliamentary elections.
The ruling party nominated Giorgi Gakharia as its candidate for a prime minister and Archil Talakvadze for the Chairman of Georgian Parliament.
2020 Parliamentary elections and elections of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara will be held on October 31
