Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev thanks the Georgian government for not allowing the transportation of mortars from Serbia to Armenia via Georgia. “As you know, Georgia did not allow mortars to be transferred to Armenia through its territory,” Aliyev said.

According to Azerbaijani President, “Georgia has acted as a reliable partner.” “I would like to express my gratitude to the Georgian government for this. We see Georgia as our reliable partner and friend,” stated Aliyev.

Azerbaijani President added that intergovernmental ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan are becoming even stronger every day. Many projects are being implemented. On top of that, an official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan to Georgia is planned in the near future.

Azerbaijani media outlet – haqqin.az – wrote on July 19 that mortars entered Armenia from Serbia via Georgia.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry and the Georgian government denied the information spread by Azerbaijani media outlet.
