Azerbaijani President congratulates Giorgi Gakharia on reappointment as Georgian Prime Minister

The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Giorgi Gakharia on reappointment as Georgian Prime Minister on Sunday.

“Azerbaijan-Georgia relations are today developing dynamically and comprehensively in accordance with the will of our peoples bound together by the historical ties of firm friendship and good neighbourliness,” Aliyev stated.

“I believe that our constantly expanding relations in political, economic and humanitarian areas, our mutually beneficial cooperation will continue to contribute to the welfare of our nations and the strengthening of the strategic partnership between our countries,” Aliyev stressed.

The new government of Georgia and its program obtained the confidence vote of 85 MPs at the extraordinary plenary session on Thursday.
