Armenian Minister of Education and Culture states that Mikheil Saakashvili should be deprived of the title of Honorary Doctor of Yerevan State University

The Minister of Education and Culture of Armenia states that Mikheil Saakashvili should be deprived of the title of Honorary Doctor of Yerevan State University. Aarayik Harutyunyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“Today I decided to address the Scientific Council of Yerevan State University with the request to deprive former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili of the title of Honorary Doctor of Yerevan State University” – the Minister of Education and Culture of Armenia writes.

According to him, this decision was made because of Saakashvili’s support for Azerbaijan.

The former President of Georgia wrote on his Facebook page that Nagorno-Karabakh is a sovereign territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and nothing will change this fact. As he noted,  everyone who has been expelled from the region has the right to return to their homes, and who already live there have the right to live in peace.
