Armenian Embassy thanks Georgian government for support in release of Armenian citizens

The Armenian Embassy in Georgia thanked the Georgian government for support in the release of 15 Armenian citizens, captured by Azerbaijan during the conflict.

“Thanks to the Georgian leadership for their assistance in returning the Armenian captives to Armenia,” reads the statement released by the Embassy in the social network.

Azerbaijan released 15 detained Armenian citizens through facilitation of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and engagement of the US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Philip Reeker, in exchange for maps of 97,000 anti-tank and anti-personnel mines.
