Archil Tatunashvili’s father said no rallies will be held

Giorgi Tatunashvili, father of Archil Tatunashvili, Georgian citizen who died in the occupied Tskhinvali region, says that no rallies will be held in demand of repatriation of his son’s body at present.

Tatunashvili made this statement in an interview with First Channel in Tsilkani village after the meeting with Giorgi Gakharia, Minister of Internal Affairs. Gakharia expressed condolence to the family of the deceased Georgian soldier.

Giorgi Tatunashvili said that the central authorities the central authorities had received promise from de-facto government of occupied South Ossetian region about repatriation of the corpse, though the exact date was not known yet.

“I see that the government is working. If my son’s body is not repatriated in the nearest future, holding of rallies will be put back in the agenda,” Tatunashvili stated.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia, On February 22, 2018 the representatives of the occupied Tskhinvali region illegally detained the citizens of Georgia: Archil Tatunashvili, Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili. Archil Tatunashvili died in the hospital of occupied Tskhinvali region on February 23.
