The Speaker of Georgian Parliament, Archil Talakvadze hosted the Head of Lithuania-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Žygimantas Pavilionis.
As the parliament’s press office reports, the parties discussed friendly and partnership relations and assessed the Parliamentary cooperation degree. The potential of cooperation in trade-economic, education and defense spheres has been stressed.
The parties affirmed commitment for cooperation in terms of labour migration and emphasized the alarming situation in the occupied regions of Georgia and the peace-keeping initiative of the Georgian Government.
The Speaker thanked the guest for support of Lithuania to the democratic transformation of Georgia, as well as territorial integrity and Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili Act.
