The non-judge member of the High Council of Justice Ana Dolidze urges Government to declare Davit Gareji as protected area to make it a heritage monument of the international scale.
Dolidze has made this statement at a special briefing today.
The non-judge member of the High Council of Justice presented the Gareji Plan as well.
According to Dolidze, a 200-page plan was drawn up by scientists in 2006 and it contains all the guidelines. As she notes, the plan was elaborated with funding from the Global Development Fund and the World Bank.
Together with Gareji Protection Group and the scientists, who have drafted the Gareji plan, Ana Dolidze plans to start working on the issue from November 2.
Dolidze urges the authorities to take an interest in this issue.
