Amiran Gamkrelidze says coronavirus cases in medical personnel increases in Georgia

Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC) says out of 680 new coronavirus cases, 362 are symptomatic.

Gamkrelidze notes that those who had contact with the infected people should be isolated, and in case of symptoms, should call 112.

NCDC Head added that coronavirus cases in medical personnel (including household infections) have increased in Georgia.

Gamkrelidze urges the population to refrain from large gatherings, weddings for a while and wear a face mask, even in an open space.

Georgia has reported 680 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 13 521.

292 patients recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of cured persons to 7 159.

Seven patients died of the virus last night. The virus-related death toll stands at 109.
