Air temperature in Georgia may reach 42 degrees today

According to the National Environment Agency, today the maximum air temperature in the lowlands of western Georgia may reach 40-42 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous regions 35-37 degrees Celsius and 33-35 degrees Celsius in the Black Sea coast.

The maximum air temperature in Eastern Georgia on July 7-8 is expected to be 34-39 degrees in the lowland and 29-34 degrees in the mountainous areas.

Weather forecasters warn that high air temperature contributes to forest fires.

The temperature will relatively decrease from the second half of July 8, which may be followed by heavy rains.
