Air masses containing desert sand particles spread in Georgia

Air masses containing desert sand particles spread across Georgia’s territory based on results of the monitoring of National Environment Agency of Georgia’s Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture.

Also according to the Agency, concentration of 8 air pollutants was measured in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi cities during last week. Hard particles (PM10) and nitrogen dioxide were detected in the air attributed to incomplete burn of vehicle fuel.

Monitoring of the air quality continues in 24-hour regime. The population can read the information about condition of the air at www.nea.gov.ge.
