2020 Session of the Committee of Ministers to be held in Strasbourg instead of Tbilisi

The 130th Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CoE) will take place in Strasbourg instead of Tbilisi, Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani said at a briefing today.

The decision was made at today’s sitting in Strasbourg.

The Ministers’ Deputies agreed to hold the 130th Session of the Committee of Ministers on 15 May 2020 in Tbilisi, in the framework of the Georgian Presidency. However, uncertainty has been raised over the possible participation of the Russian delegation, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
