Mitropolit Petre: Church and government in big scandal

“Scandal is mounting around both the church and government,” Chkondidi Mitropolit Petre Tsaava made this statement after he visited Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze, charged for having attempted to poison a high-ranking clergyman, in prison. 

Mitropolit said he believed in Mamaladze’s innocence. He also criticized Georgian Patriarch’s Secretary-Referent Shorena Tetruashvili.
