US outgoing President Barack Obama extended sanctions against the Russian Federation for aggression against Ukraine. This is stated in the message on the White house website.

“The actions and policies, which were adopted by the decrees, continue to pose a danger to national security and foreign policy of the United States,” Obama said in the document.

According to the report, the first sanctions were imposed in March 2014. On March 16 and on March 20 they were enlarged.

On December 27, 2016, the U.S. Department of Commerce has expanded sanctions against the defense of Russia and Crimea and have added in the sanctions list of 23 companies.
