John Kerry pays a brief visit to Georgia

US Secretary of State John Kerry has paid a brief visit to Georgia.

The State Secretary met by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani. Georgia-US strategic partnership was discussed by the sides. The First Deputy Minister thanked the United States for the support and personally John Kerry for his contribution to the deepening of the Georgia-US bilateral relations. For his part, John Kerry underlined the impressive progress in terms of democratic, political and economic development.

The US Secretary of State reiterated the important role of Georgia in the region. John Kerry wished success to the Georgian Government and Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, who, according to him, plays an important role in the correct development of the country.
